The numbers are not round by accident. Here is the reasoning behind each one.
Because at that number the system can carry itself. It is about 0.64% of the European population, roughly one person in 155. Enough to keep it running as a company, and no more than that. Issuing more would distort the ratio the whole design rests on. Issuing fewer would mean we cannot carry it.
So no country ends up over-represented. Every country receives a fixed share, based on how many people live there.
So nobody can take large numbers at once. Three is enough to reserve for yourself and for two people close to you.
Because the number per country is fixed, so it has to be settled which country you belong to. You prove citizenship at activation.

You should know this before you reserve, not after. So here it is, in plain terms.
Project Vesper is a Dutch private company with a single shareholder. You can look it up yourself at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. Members are not shareholders and carry no business risk.
Ninety percent of the profit goes straight back in. It is invested in facilities and in the brands we build, which have to earn their own money and serve our members at the same time. Everything we build for members, you can use. The remaining ten percent goes to the shareholder. That split applies to the profit of the whole group and is written into our articles of association at the notary.
Members receive no dividend, no profit share and no payout. You are reserving a key, not buying a stake. If you are here to make money, this is not it.

Each key is tied to a country. A key for a country you are not a citizen of will be useless to you. On activation we check citizenship, name and date of birth.

One or more of the 3,500,000 keys, tied to your country. You get the exact explanation once all keys are reserved. After the reveal you decide: keep your keys, or take the full refund.
Because everyone deserves the same starting line. At the reveal, Europe learns what the keys unlock at exactly the same moment.
You get your money back at two moments. In the first 14 days after reserving you can cancel for any reason and get a full refund; after that your reservation is final and your payment is held for you until the reveal. If the reveal ever takes longer than 12 months, you can cancel any time after that and get a full refund. When we reveal everything, you again have 14 days to cancel and get a complete refund, no questions asked.
We run every payment through Stripe, a regulated European payment provider. We never see your card or bank details. We register your reservation under your name and you can always reach us about it.
Every country received a fixed number of keys, in proportion to its population. Each key only works for citizens of that country.
As soon as all 3,500,000 keys are reserved, we reveal everything. There is also an outer deadline: the project has one year from the moment the first country sells out.
The project has one year from the moment the first country sells out. If at least half of all 3,500,000 keys are reserved within that year, the project succeeds: we reveal everything and any keys still unreserved lapse. If fewer than half are reserved, the project has not succeeded, and everyone gets a full refund of everything they paid.
Nothing you need to do. Your reservation is final and registered under your details. When the reveal happens, we email you with everything you need to activate your keys.
Because everyone deserves a chance. The release is limited, so no one can buy up large numbers. The limit of 3 also lets you reserve for family members: every key stays tied to the chosen country, and whoever activates it must be a citizen of that country.
Yes. Your full name and date of birth must match your passport exactly, and you must be able to prove citizenship of the chosen country. Both are verified at activation.
Yes. Reserving a key costs €10 excluding VAT, once. If you decide to activate after the reveal, keeping a key active costs €30 excluding VAT per year for the first year. After that, the community decides the amount itself, by voting. The VAT of your country is added to both. You never commit blindly: you first see what the keys unlock, and if you do not want to continue you get your reservation back in full.
To keep it fair for everyone. Charging a small amount stops bad actors from reserving large numbers of keys at once and sabotaging what we are building, so everyone gets a real chance. There is also another reason behind it, which will become clear once everything is revealed.
Yours, if you still hold it at the reveal. At the reveal, each key you still hold is permanently recorded in your name as its first holder.

Your reservation fee gets this off the ground. After that we are not funded by members alone: the brands and companies we build earn their own money. Of the profit of the group, 10% goes to the shareholder and 90% is reinvested in facilities and brands that have to earn their keep and serve our members at the same time. Everything we build for members is there for you to use. We take no outside investors and we never sell your data.
